Amazon Prime Video vs Netflix

When looking for streaming entertainment on TV there are a couple of things to keep in mind and some may not know where to start. The first thing needed for streaming is a stable internet connection. With 5G internet making its way into the world and doing it fairly quickly there are great 5G internet providers all over the country. For example, a great provider that you may want to check out is Comlink Internet. The next thing needed is your TV, favourite spot on the couch, a snack and streaming service of your liking. Two of the most popular streaming services nowadays are Amazon Prime and Netflix. Some may ask, what are the differences between the two? Which one is better? Who should I go with?
Monthly Costs of Amazon & Netflix
The number one question when it comes to paying for a subscription is how much is the monthly bill. Well with Netflix it will cost you anywhere from $9.99 to $19.99 depending on the plan you need. With those plans, you get access to over 3,600 movies and more than 1,800 TV shows. If you really wanted to know the specifics on exactly what TV shows are on Netflix there are lists on the internet that are able to tell you that information. On the other hand, Amazon Prime Video will run you $8.99 a month. With Prime Video there are more than 24,000 movies and 2,100+ TV shows. Even with Prime Videos’ major selection of shows and movies, Netflix still might have shows and movies available that Prime Video doesn’t. That also goes the other way around Prime could have things that Netflix doesn’t.Â
What Devices are Each Service On?
Amazon Prime Video obviously being a part of Amazon can be expected to be available on all Amazon devices. As well as android devices, Apple devices, Xbox, web browsers, smart TVs, Roku TVs, Roku sticks, and even Nintendos. With both apps being similar in availability, Netflix is also available on android devices, Apple devices, Xbox, PlayStation, web browsers, smart TVs, Roku devices, Nvidia Shield, and some other devices that prime is also on.
User Experience
From personal experience, Netflix is super simple to use. It’s easy to navigate and nothing is tricky when it comes to Netflix. Amazon Prime Video is a bit more complicated and feels less optimized than Netflix. This could be something to expect since Netflix is 100% for streaming and viewing pleasure while Amazon has many other things to worry about, for instance, Amazon’s actual company. One of the great things about Netflix is that you are able to have up to 5 different accounts on one subscription. What comes with that is parental controls on any of the accounts and the ability to have a lock on whatever content you want. When putting a lock on shows you’re able to create a passkey that needs to be entered whenever those shows want to be watched. Creating profiles with Prime Video is a little more of a headache though.
When it comes to wanting to record shows to watch later, neither service has that. They both have the ability to download any episode of a show you like and with that, you can watch those shows whenever you like.Â
Wrap Up
With Prime Video having over 25,100 titles in total when it comes to movies and TV shows some would think it’s hard to beat, but Netflix has original content. This means Netflix has their own specific shows and movies that I personally think are really great. They have some great ideas and find great actors and actresses to fill those roles. At the end of the day, everyone should do a little bit of homework on what shows they would like to see the most and what each service has to offer.
Or most people like to try each service for one month just to see how they both work and which one better fits them. I would say that prime has the better movie selection and Netflix has the better TV show selection but at the end of the day, it’s all personal preference. Call Now For More Detail: (855) 925-4573.
